    The Pashupatinath Temple here is considered to be one of the most important Hindu temples in Nepal located on the shore of the Bagmati river on the eastern part of Kathmandu.

    Pashupatinath Temple
    One of the most sacred Hindu shrine in the world. The temple of Lord Shiva- Pashupatinath lies five kilometers east of Kathmandu on the banks of sacred Bagmati River. Only Hindu are permitted to enter through the main gate but still the visitor can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.

    Lord Shiva is known as the destroyer of the world. Shiv/Siva is one of the most popular Gods among the Hindu Deities. Shiva is 'Shakti', Shiva is power, Shiva is the destroyer, the most powerful god of the Hindu pantheon and one of the godheads in the Hindu Trinity.
