No doubt Sagarmatha is the highest mountain that lies in Nepal but why its name is kept after George Everest. Sagarmatha is our property and our indigenous people had seen it long before he had seen. People worshipped and had baptized the native name as Cholungma, then why to Call it Everest. Besides it has Nepalese name too. How can we believe the fact that Sagarmatha was first discovered by foreigner who had come to Nepal for some general survey? Sagarmatha is the Nepalese property not theirs. So Sagarmatha should be no longer called Everest.
