     National Parks in NepalIts no doubt that Nepal is a country of great natural diversities and geographical variations. National Parks of Nepal are located specially in the terai region in Nepal attract visitors from all over the world. Nepal is the home of 2% of all the flowering plants, 8% of the world's population of birds (more then 848 species), 4% of mammals on earth, 11 of the world's 14 families of butterflies (more than 500 species), 600 indigenous plants families, 319 species of exotic orchids which the majority of above are in different National Parks. Wildlife Safari or jungle safari in the jungles of Nepal is one of the most important attractions for the tourist around the world. A trip to a Nepali national park always involves interacting with other cultures as well as with the raw stuff of nature.  Many national parks incorporate grazing, farming, wood gathering, survival hunting, and human habitation into their boundaries, as well as tourism and trekking.

    Actually Nepal has established 7 National Parks and 3 wildlife reserves for the protection of the endangered species. There is only one hunting reserve in Nepal. These parks and reserves comes under the administration of the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department of the Government of Nepal. The total area covered by these parks and reserves is 11,001 square kilometers (4,247 square miles). This represents 8% of the total area of Nepal.
