Annapurna Himalaya in North, Blue Phewa Lake, mountain and shiny pokhara valley in south, at this time have been added more beauty by colorful paragliding. Sanagkot situating in upper part of this beautiful lake city have attracted both internal and external tourist now a days. The Sarangkot falls under eight most adventurous places for paragliders in the world.
In order to fulfil the adventurous desire the Para gliders from USA, Germany, France, Poland, Russia etc come here every year. The most suitable eveironement for paragliding is in 500 high and in wind speed of 10-15 km/hr which is easily available here in sarangkot during oct-feb. This adventurous sports formally started from 1992 in sarankot. In good weather Para gliders can fly up to 80 km with out fuel. Generally the organizer take around $100 for 30- 40 minute fly for foreigners. With the increasing interest of the foreign tourist in paragliding the local travel agents have started the paragliding tournament from 1999. The 9th paragliding tournament is going to be held on Dec 20- Dec-22 in Sarankot.
