Make sure when booking your adventure travel trip that you have the correct type of travel insurance. Most travel insurance carriers consider rafting and mountaineering as extreme sports which requires adventure travel insurance. The rates are a little higher, as the risk of injury/accident is higher, but you will not be reimbursed for any medical bills otherwise.
