If you are going to have trekking to the famous Annapurna Round of Nepal, we have some suggestins for you to help you make your trek more exciting. Ghale Gaun First of all, you will arrive at Besishahar from kathmandu or Pokhara or Narayangadh. Then you can get to Khudi, 7 kilometers ahead, by walking for about one and half hours. In Khudi, Himachuli Views is the only hotel that provides you hygienic food, nice rooms, clean toilets and bath rooms as well as safety. From the beautiful garden of this hotel you can see that the fantastic view of Khudi stream and the river Marsyangdi. And you can also see Mt. Manaslu, the fifth highest peak of the world, from every room of this hotel. You can have a swim in a natural swimming pool just at a minute’s walk from the hotel. As in towns, you will not be disturbed by the noise of vehicles, the barking of dogs and the voices of human crowds. You will rather have an opportunity to enjoy the sounds of wild animals, the chirping of birds, the hissing of the rivers and the singing of insects. During monsoon and the fall you will be spellbound to see the springs and waterfalls all around the hillsides.
If you like to walk from besishahar, please don’t walk along distance. You may get a muscle-ache because of a long walk on the first day, making your trek the following days very painful. And if you arrive at Besishahar late in the evening and want to spend the night there, it would be wise to get up early the next morning and walk in the cool breeze along the river Marshyangdi for about one and half hours and arrive at Khudi for breakfast. Thus you can avoid hot sunshine and also you will have a good appetite. Except during the rainy season, small vehicles ply along the dirt road from Besishahar to Khudi. If you arrive at Besishahar at around noon or 1 Pm , you can find those vehicles in Serabazaar of Besishahar and Manag Chautara. They will take you Khudi in 30 minutes. And you can have your launch in Khudi, seeing the enchanting natural sights all around. Hotel Himchuli views is the first hotel ever inside Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). There is a community forest at a distance of ten minute’s walk. You can go there to see wild animals and birds with the guides of the hotel, if you like. The Tourist Village: Now we have built a Tourist Village in order to make the visit of tourists from overseas to Annapurna more exciting and enjoyable. The village is located on the top of a hill north-west of Khudi at an altitude of 2016 meters. In the Tourist Village there are about 70 households of Gurung of Ghale clan who are said to be the decedents of Ghale kings who ruled over this place about 450 years back. The people’s life based on agriculture is full of extreme hardships, where there are no modern facilities whatsoever. Here we have selected 12 special households. Two guests can stay in each of these households. To entertain the guests dances representing Gurung culture are performed and handicrafts are exhibited. We serve foods produced without using chemical fertilizers and insecticides, and grounded in traditional mills and grind –stones. And the sights of mountain ranges like Annapurna, Manaslu, and Himalchuli are shown to them. For this, we will have a 3-day program. The Environment Conservation: Today nature, the only source of human society and civilization, is being destroyed all over the world. All of us have to sincerely participate in the campaign to conserve this invaluable nature from our respective places. To this end, our venture expresses the commitment that ten percent of its income will be set aside for environment conservation. If we make money by displaying natural gifts like snow-capped mountains, rivers, lakes and wild animals and birds, it becomes our bounden duty to protect and promote them.
