Principally Nepal is Hindu Country but other religion like buddism and Islam enjoy equal privileges. There are also pagans who worship the evil spirits like ghosts. Hinduism came with Aryans and was spirit from south to north as well as from east to west. The temple have either lord Shiva, or Bishnu or Bhagawati. In eastern Tarai the famous temples are Barah Mandir (Biratnager) Sakra Bhagawati (Raj-biraj) and Ram Janaki Mandir (Janakpur) and Lumbini (Rupandehi) Nanak Baba in Nepalgunj and Beni Baba in Dhangarhi and Sidhakathan in Mahendra Nagar. In the midland kalinchok Vagawati, Temples of Kathmandu ( dakshin kali, Narayan of Budhanil Kanth, Swayambu, Pashupati, Gujeshwari, Bouddha, Suryabinayak, Krishna Mandir etc).
Gorakha Nath Temple of Gorkha, Manakamana, Bhairav than in Tansen, Swargduwari in Dang, Sirthsthan, Padukasthan, Nabhisthan in Dailekh, Khapad in Doti and Chainpur. However village have temple of either god or goddesses of the both. In the north from Kali Gandaki Valley to the East, must of the people worship lord Buddha and the Gumba, Shorten and Stupas etc. plays important role. In the far west few Gumbas are located. Masjids are found all over Tarai particularly in NepalJung, Taulihawa, Birganj and also in the Kathmandu Valley.
